Wyoming Region 6 Hazard Mitigation Plan - Public Review Draft
Washakie, Hot Springs, Park and Big Horn Counties
This plan is the product of a 2021 planning process undertaken by the four counties in the Big Horn Basin in Wyoming Region 6 – Big Horn, Park, Hot Springs and Washakie. The purpose is to meet the requirements of the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 (PL 106-390), and thereby maintain continued eligibility for certain Hazard Mitigation – or disaster loss reduction – programs from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This plan updates the 2016 Region 6 Hazard Mitigation Plan including each county annex for Big Horn, Hot Springs, Washakie and Park counties and sets priorities for mitigation in the Region for the time period of 2022-2027.

Full TIme Position Road and Bridge Department
Big Horn County Road & Bridge is accepting applications for an operator with general knowledge of road and bridge maintenance, strong mechanical and equipment operation skills and a class A CDL are preferred. Starting wage will depend on experience. Successful applicant will be subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing. Big Horn County offers generous benefits including sick and vacation leave, health insurance and retirement.

WEED AND PEST CONTROL DISTRICT PETITIONS BEING SOUGHT
Public notice to solicit nominations for Directors of Big Horn County Weed and Pest Control District. Appointments to be made on the 7th day of February 2023, time 1:00 p.m.
Pursuant to the Wyoming Weed and Pest Control Act (W.S. 11-5-101 through 11-5-303), notice is hereby given to solicit nominations for appointments to the Big Horn County Weed and Pest Control District. Appointments shall be made in accordance with W.S. 11-5-104.
Prior to appointment, the nominee for Director shall submit a petition signed by at least ten (10) landowners, to the Big Horn County Weed and Pest office in Greybull WY on or before February 1st 2023.
Directors are being sought for South Area 4, North Area 1, and South Area 3.

COUNTY COMMISSIONER SCHOLARSHIPS
DUE DATE: April 21, 2023
Any Big Horn County High School senior, who is not receiving a tuition scholarship and anticipates attending either the University of Wyoming or any of the Junior Colleges of Wyoming, is eligible to apply. (Hathaway recipients are eligible however the need portion of the Hathaway may be reduced depending on individual student) Applications must be received in the office of the County Clerk by April 21, 2023 to be considered.
