About Us

The office of the Clerk of District Court can process passport applications for United States citizens.  The completed application will need to be signed in the presence of a court clerk.  Along with the completed application the applicant must provide a certified copy of their birth certificate, proof of identity (driver’s license), and two identical passport pictures.  Please refer to the application for specifics of required documentation.

The fees are:
Adult Passport Book (16 and over) - $135.00
                        (10 year passport book)

            Adult Passport Card - $55.00
                        (10 year passport card)

Minor Child Passport Book (under 16) - $105.00
                        (5 year passport book)

Minor Child Passport Card (under 16) - $40.00
                        (5 year passport card)

Those applicants age 16 and 17 must have a parent or legal guardian appear with them to sign the minor child’s application.  If a parent is unable to appear, the parent’s personal check for payment of the passport may be considered to imply parental consent.

Applications or children under the age of 16 require the signatures of both parents.  If only one parent is available please refer to the instruction on the application.

It takes approximately 4 to 6 weeks to obtain a passport so please plan accordingly.

An application can be expedited with an additional fee of $60.00 to Passport Services.  With the additional fee and by paying the overnight postage both ways, the passport should be received within three weeks.

Passport may also be renewed for a total fee of $110.00 if:

  1. The most recent passport can be submitted
  2. The applicant was at least 16 years old when the most recent passport was issued.
  3. The most recent passport was issued less than 15 years ago.
  4. The applicant uses the same name as shown on the most recent passport, or has had their name changed by marriage or court order and can submit proper documentation to reflect the name change.

Information may not always be up to date, so please check the federal government web site.    www.travel.state.us.gov       Forms are also available at this site.
