Citizen Input on Elections

Citizen input is being sought by the newly formed PAVE (Plan for Aging Voting Equipment) Task Force & County Clerks  Association

Below are links to information that is being disseminated by the County Clerk’s Association in soliciting community and voter input to be used by each county to determine what method or type of voting equipment should be considered for the next decade of voting. Information regarding the best options for each county will be passed on to the PAVE Task Force to find appropriate funding to obtain the voting equipment we’ll need soon after the 2020 elections.

Unfortunately with the tight deadline to get this to PAVE it is not feasible for me to hold community meetings in all 9 of our municipalities and our other unincorporated communities. I am requesting your help in getting this information out to our citizens and encouraging them to complete a survey about their preferences.

Here is a a power point presentation that highlights some of the issues to consider as we plan for future elections in Wyoming.

Here is some data about voting habits and elections in Big Horn County.

After reviewing the above documents please take this short survey to share your voting preferences.

The survey link is Voting Preference Survey

This survey is also available in hardcopy in the Clerk's office.

At this point in time we are unsure what would be best for Wyoming and Big Horn County but I look forward to the citizen input this will generate and the excellent information that could even be used in an interim study, if deemed helpful. We are approaching an unavoidable need to replace current voting equipment and this information will be crucial in determining how best to proceed to ensure we continue to keep our elections secure and accessible to all citizens.

Thank you in advance for your time and taking this opportunity to voice your opinion.

Clerk of the District Court - Child Support

State Disbursement Unit:

Many court ordered payments for child support are now made to the State Disbursement Unit in Cheyenne.  Effective in May 1995, a centralized payment processing system was required by federal and state law.  However, the State of Wyoming received an exemption from the Department of Health and Human Services that still allows the Clerk of District Court’s office to receive and distribute child support payments.

The following types of cases can be processed by the State Disbursement Unit:

  1. All cases enforced by the Wyoming Child Support Enforcement Program
  2. All cases in which there is an income withholding order and the initial support order was issued on or after January 1, 1994.

The State Disbursement Unit address is:
2300 Capitol Ave.
55th Floor, Suite A
Cheyenne, WY  82002
Phone:  1-888-570-9914
